After sports, Nasira took that same drive and served as a law enforcement officer for over a decade, working in some of the most underserved and overlooked communities. There, she witnessed the deep gaps in housing, addiction recovery, and support services. But her connection to these issues wasn’t just professional — it was personal.

Nasira grew up in a home impacted by instability: her mother struggled with addiction, and her father was incarcerated for much of her childhood. She knows what it’s like to watch loved ones fall through the cracks of broken systems. That pain fueled her purpose.

Today, Nasira is the founder of multiple successful independent living facilities across California and beyond. She is a national voice in helping others create safe, structured, and sustainable housing for justice-involved individuals, recovering addicts, the mentally ill, LGBTQIA+ youth, and others in need of dignity and direction.
